great migration of wildebeests photo safari
8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS

TOUR OVERVIEW
Join me for an unforgettable photographic adventure into the heart of the Great Wildebeest Migration — one of Earth’s most explosive and iconic wildlife events.
On this 8-day safari in northern Tanzania, we’ll fly straight into the action with two chartered bush flights, maximizing our time on the ground and putting us in prime position to document the raw, wild story unfolding in real time.
You’ll be part of a small, exclusive group of just four guests, based in an exceptional mobile tented camp that moves with the herds. This isn’t just a front-row seat — it’s full immersion. From dramatic river crossings to golden light predator encounters, we’ll stay close to the migration’s path, ensuring you’re always just one step — or one frame — away from the shot of a lifetime.
This is a fast-paced, high-impact experience designed for photographers who want to be in the thick of it. We’ll rise early, stay out late, and stay flexible — tracking the action as it unfolds. With personalized photographic mentorship and on-the-ground guidance, I’ll help you anticipate, adapt, and compose your strongest images — capturing the drama, movement, and energy that define this wild spectacle.
This isn’t just a safari — it’s a full creative immersion in one of Africa’s greatest natural stories. Let’s go chase it together.

Front-Row Access to the Great Migration
I’ll guide you straight to the heart of the action—where wildebeest and zebra thunder across the Serengeti, predators strike from the shadows, and every frame tells a story of movement, tension, and survival.

With two private bush flights, we skip long transfers and get you shooting from day one. Less transit, more time tracking drama through your lens.
Personalized Mentorship in a Small Group Setting
With just three guests, you’ll get hands-on guidance from me throughout—reviewing shots, refining your approach, and building confidence as we go.

EXPERT GUIDANCE
As your guide and photography mentor, I’ll be by your side throughout the journey — helping you anticipate moments, refine your composition, and tell stronger visual stories. This is hands-on, in-the-field instruction designed to meet you where you are and push your photography further.
We’re also supported by exceptional local guides, whose deep understanding of the land and wildlife ensures we’re always positioned for the best possible encounters — often before the action even starts.
At the end of each day, you’ll return to carefully selected lodges, where professional staff take care of everything else: warm hospitality, delicious meals, and a comfortable space to rest, recharge, and get ready for the next day’s adventure.

EQUIPMENT TO BRING
CAMERA BODY:
Guests are encouraged to bring a camera body with a minimum of 24-megapixels to guarantee the best results while on safari. This can be mirrorless or a DSLR, as your photo host is experienced with both and will be able to offer assistance whenever need be.
A second camera body is always a great consideration, however, this is not mandatory. This can be used as a backup, or you can keep a second lens attached and switch back and forth between cameras.
LENSES:
500mm prime lens: Perfect for capturing distant wildlife such as big cats on the hunt, river crossings, or large herds from a safe and respectful distance. Its reach allows for stunning detail without disturbing the animals.
70–200mm lens: Ideal for action-packed scenes during the migration, including dramatic crossings and predator interactions at relatively close range. This lens offers excellent versatility for both environmental portraits and intimate moments.
Pro Tip: If using a 500mm prime lens, it’s recommended to also bring a zoom lens (like the 70–200mm) for added flexibility. This ensures you’re ready for both distant and close-range scenes without needing to swap lenses during fast-paced wildlife moments.
