BEST OF TANZANIA WILDLIFE photo safari
12 DAYS / 11 NIGHTS

TOUR OVERVIEW
Join me on a 12-day photographic adventure through some of Tanzania’s most iconic and wildlife-rich landscapes — a journey built for photographers who want variety, depth, and truly wild moments in their portfolio.
We’ll begin in Tarangire National Park, where towering baobabs and massive elephant herds set the stage for dramatic wildlife scenes. As the dry season concentrates animals near water, we’ll photograph the daily dance of survival — from migrating mammals to stealthy predators, all against a striking backdrop.
Next, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day exploring one of Africa’s densest wildlife areas. We'll photograph black rhino, lions, hyenas, giraffe, zebra, flamingos, and more — all from the crater floor of this ancient volcanic amphitheater.
From there, we move into the Central Serengeti, where ecosystems converge and predators thrive. This is prime big cat territory, and we'll take our time tracking cheetahs, leopards, and lions across wide savannahs and woodland edges — always on the lookout for fast-paced storytelling moments.
Finally, we head north to the Mara River, where the Great Migration surges through. With thousands of wildebeest and zebra navigating dangerous crossings and ambushes from crocs and predators, this is high-stakes photographic action at its best.
With just three TWO guests, expert guides, and personalized photo mentorship, this safari is built to give you the access, time, and support to create your strongest work. I’ll be with you every step of the way — helping you anticipate the moments, adjust your approach, and capture the story only you can tell.

EXPERT GUIDANCE
As your guide and photography mentor, I’ll be by your side throughout the journey — helping you anticipate moments, refine your composition, and tell stronger visual stories. This is hands-on, in-the-field instruction designed to meet you where you are and push your photography further.
We’re also supported by exceptional local guides, whose deep understanding of the land and wildlife ensures we’re always positioned for the best possible encounters — often before the action even starts.
At the end of each day, you’ll return to carefully selected lodges, where professional staff take care of everything else: warm hospitality, delicious meals, and a comfortable space to rest, recharge, and get ready for the next day’s adventure.

EQUIPMENT TO BRING
CAMERA BODY:
Guests are encouraged to bring a camera body with a minimum of 24-megapixels to guarantee the best results while on safari. This can be mirrorless or a DSLR, as your photo host is experienced with both and will be able to offer assistance whenever need be.
A second camera body is always a great consideration, however, this is not mandatory. This can be used as a backup, or you can keep a second lens attached and switch back and forth between cameras.
LENSES:
70–200mm lens: A must-have for this itinerary, offering excellent versatility across varied environments - from the dense elephant herds in Tarangire to intimate predator encounters in the Serengeti. Perfect for portraits, behaviour, and close-to-mid-range scenes.
4000mm/500mm lens (prime or zoom): Highly recommended for big cats on the prowl, distant kills, and dramatic wildlife moments in Ngorongoro Crater, Central Serengeti, and Northern Serengeti. Whether prime or zoom, this lens gives you the reach needed for exceptional detail and storytelling across vast landscapes.
Pro Tip: If using a 500mm prime, pairing it with a 70–200mm allows you to cover both ends of the action spectrum without the need to change lenses, especially helpful when scenes unfold rapidly in the field.
